Shannon grew up in a very competitive and active family. She was a competitive gymnast for seven years while living in Germany, as well as participated in various sports including soccer, track, wrestling, cheerleading and swimming. She began coaching her high school gymnastics team as a senior after breaking both wrists, ending her competitive years. Shannon has since coached gymnastics for many years. During college at Charleston Southern University, she was a personal trainer and loved working out in general. Shannon has always lived an active lifestyle and has dabbled in various sports including races and triathlons.

Shannon loves working with children, teens, and senior citizens. Having five kids ages 3-16, Shannon has a deep love for kids and teens and wants to encourage them to make healthy choices early in life. Motivating kids and teens to be active and move in a fun, safe environment is very important to her.  Shannon also has a love for aging adults who want to stay active or become mobile again.

Outside of training, you’ll find Shannon at home with her kids, chauffeuring her children to and from school and sports, or enjoying the pool or beach. She is a true beach bum and will take anyone up on having a beach day! Her favorite place to eat in Charleston is anywhere with delicious shrimp and grits!

She is a wife, mother of five, and owner of Iron Bridge Athletics.

Erin Green, Coach and Nutrition Coach

Growing up, Erin wanted to become a Mermaid above anything else. As time progressed and she realized that wasn't going to happen, she became the next best thing: a competitive swimmer. This is where Erin’s competitive nature and athletic mindset began. She devoted her life to swimming by the age of seven and swam competitively until senior year of high school. Her leadership was exemplified as a swim team captain and while competing for a USS team and attending junior nationals and sectionals. Erin eventually transitioned out of swimming and entered the life of obstacle course races. Name a race, she’s done it, including a Ragnar relay race - a 12-person team trekking 300 miles from Miami to Key West. Although she would rather do anything else than run, the teamwork and camaraderie of the race pushed her to the finish line.

She has experience as a personal trainer, and is certified as a Level 1 CrossFit coach. Apart from working out, Erin's other passion is nutrition. She believes in an 'eat to fuel' lifestyle. She is our own in-house nutrition coach who works hand-in-hand with athletes providing nutrition knowledge and coaching.
